Kit Packing and Fulfillment Services

Hopkins Printing is known for our high-quality print work. When customers need additional services to get that work into someone else’s hands, however, you can rely on our kit packing and fulfillment services.

What is Kit Packing?

“Kit packing”, also sometimes referred to as “kitting”, is the general industry term for taking various printed items — like signs — and collating and bundling them in a single box to be drop-shipped to various locations. Kits that are sent on a regular basis, like a new employee onboarding package, can be packed ahead of time and stored as inventory.

“Fulfillment” is a broader term that encompasses not only the elements of kit packing, but also functions done by hand. This might include applying two-sided tape, adding other accessories, or putting a project together, such as inserting sales sheets into the pocket of a pocket folder.

Kit Packing Capabilities

At Hopkins Printing, we perform kit packing and fulfillment for a wide variety of industries. As with our collating services, our most common kit packing is for the distribution of retail store signage. We are also highly experienced with the subscription box model, where a pre-specified selection of items are boxed and then sent to a distribution list. Kit packing services are also ideal for events and conventions — boxes can be personalized with any combination of items supplied by the customer and items we print for them, then sent to each attendee prior to the event.

While we typically only do kit packing and fulfillment on projects that we print, Hopkins Print can also provide these services using customer-supplied materials.
