Hopkins Printing Adds New Platesetter
COLUMBUS, OHIO (August 6, 2009) – Hopkins Printing continues to upgrade our equipment with the purchase of a new platesetter. This platesetter represents our continued commitment to invest in the infrastructure that will allow us to better serve our customers and improve the level of work we produce for our customers.
The Avalon platesetter has many improvements that will continue to upgrade our throughput and quality. The productivity of the Avalon allows us to image up to 24 plates per hour with increased quality and consistency over our previous platesetter. This platesetter also punches the plate internally resulting in more consistent registration on press.
The Avalon also has a lighter impact on the environment due to being almost developer free and does not require baking to set the image on the plate. This also means less maintenance is needed. “Any time we can upgrade equipment that increases quality and reduces the impact on the environment, we see that as an easy decision” said Roy Waterhouse, V.P. of Sales & Marketing.
